I graduated in 2021 from the University of Alberta and Red Deer Polytechnic collaborative program with a degree in Elementary Education, specializing in middle school grades 4 - 9. This is my third year working for Chinook’s Edge School Division. Previously, I worked as a substitute teacher at various schools throughout the division, teaching Kindergarten to grade 12. I was also a part of the Innisfail Middle School grade six team for May and June of the 2022-23 school year.
I am originally from Sherwood Park, but grew up around Elnora. I currently live in Red Deer with one of my younger sisters and her German Shepherd Maverick. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Red Deer for three years!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy: reading, cooking, baking, and building puzzles. I’m looking forward to being a part of the Innisfail Middle School team again - this time in grade eight - and helping students to develop a positive relationship with reading and writing!
