Key Roles

I am a grade 5 teacher and have been teaching since completing my Bachelor of Education – Secondary at the University of Alberta in 2005. This is my ninth year at Innisfail Middle School. I am passionate about learning and in particular learning about our natural world. I love to travel and explore our world near and far in order to enhance my students' understanding. I also loves scientific research and have been able to participate in research projects such as studying grizzly bears in northern Alaska, reef sharks of the Pacific Ocean and caribou of the Rocky Mountains!

I love to spend time with my family and our dogs.  I enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, skiing, scuba diving, biking, swimming, running and hiking. Basically if you can’t find me - check outside!
