Welcome to École Innisfail Middle School. We are looking forward to working together with students, parents, and community members to ensure that every student has the best possible experience in our school and achieves their fullest potential. We believe that every student can learn and achieve, and we want every student to feel valued, safe, and cared for in our building. As a school team, we are committed to creating the best possible learning environment for the middle school learner.

On May 13, 2016 we launched a House structure in our school. The purpose of our house structure is to create a sense of family and belonging within our school. We know that students perform better academically and socially at school when they feel connected to peers and adults throughout their school. House teams are multi-graded and include adult house leaders from every grade and role. Weekly house time sessions are our opportunity to connect with our house teams, to teach character education and soft skills, and to build school spirit and connectedness. We have noticed a significant and positive shift in our school culture as a direct result of the implementation of houses.

We have introduced a comprehensive Positive Behaviour Supports Program at our school this year. The program involves specifically teaching our students the expected behaviours throughout our school. We are also rewarding students who are making positive choices by giving them Gotcha Good tickets which they can use to enter prize draws. As well, we are integrating MP3 teaching into our monthly assemblies.
